Grounds for Divorce: The court may grant a no-fault divorce if “the husband and wife have lived separate and apart for 1 year without cohabitation”, or upon a showing of incompatibility. The court may grant a fault divorce upon a showing of  insanity existing for 2 years prior to the commencement of the action. [Nevada Revised Statutes]

Residency Requirements: In order to file for divorce in Nevada, the cause of the divorce must have occurred within the state while the parties resided in Nevada, or either of the parties has been a resident of the state for a period of not less than 6 weeks preceding the commencement of the divorce.
