Weekly Divorce Tip #19

Whether it’s daily, weekly or bi-weekly, speaking with a therapist during divorce can be a godsend. A licensed therapist is required to keep your conversations confidential (with a few exceptions) and he or she should understand the overwhelming emotions you’re experiencing. He or she can give you the emotional and mental support you need, with the peace of mind that what you say will remain private. If you don’t have a therapist, counselor or confidential advisor and would like to find one, use our Guidelines for Finding a Therapist.

This is not legal advice. You should consult an attorney if you have legal questions that relate to your specific divorce.
