Diary of a Divorced California Divorce Lawyer, Day One

9:05 a.m. - mauled by three border collies in bed (keeping my head buried so none of them sneaks a lick on the mouth!)

9:10 a.m. - carry my one-eyed cat from the master bath through the living room on my shoulder with dogs pouncing all over me (OW!).

9:11 a.m. - make it safely to the kitchen with the cat still in one piece

9:15 a.m. - turn on the coffee machine and wander out into the yard.

9:17 a.m. - turn on the sprinklers and start the doggie mud Olympics (sigh). Survey my DIY landscaping and count the number of plants the dogs have maimed, dug-up or destroyed this week (expensive!!!)

9:18 a.m. - grumpily/discouraged head back to the kitchen for coffee while fit, happy cyclists go streaming by, egged on by barking border collies (my non-dog friendly neighbor LOVES me!)

9:22 a.m. - yummy chocolate mocha in hand, read emails and discover CNN Top News is following me on Twitter!!! I guess I’ll need to say something important……drawing a blank…I’ll get back to that!

9:30 a.m. - unloading and loading the dishwasher (one of my least favorite chores, ever!)

9:31 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - dawdling…..tivo European soccer for a friend.

10:46 a.m. - decide to start this glamorous diary of my life and share it with you. I suppose I should have started it yesterday, then at least I could have introduced you to my super successful friend who has taken an idea from nothing and turned it into a multi-million dollar business….but that’ll have to keep till another day. Going to take a shower.
