Making the Decision to Divorce

If you’re trapped in a vicious circle in your mind, weighing the pros and cons of your marriage against those of divorce, perhaps this thought will help move you towards your final decision:

And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight in the bud was greater than the risk it took to blossom. ~Anias Nin

I am on the fence. I am so unhappy with my choice in marriage partners, some 18 years and 2 kids later. I am so attracted to other men. My husband is a friend, but lover? That’s where my line is drawn. I am not, and have never been sexually attracted to him. He knows I am not happy, and tries to buy my love, and happiness. He verbally abuses my 12 year old daughter, who constantly begs me to “get rid of him”. He caudles my 8 year old son, I am to the point of breaking.

It sounds like a difficult position for you and your daughter to be in. What’s keeping you on the fence?
