Weekly Divorce Tip #16

Bad judgment is common during divorce when emotions are highly charged. If you are facing a major decision such as whether to go to trial or settle your case, calmly consider your next course of action. Speak to people you trust to gain a new perspective but remember, even your friends, family and lawyer’s judgment can be clouded. Thus, before you come out guns-a-blazin’ or walk away cold turkey, consider hiring another lawyer to discuss your case and give you a truly neutral, uninvolved opinion. This could save you years of regret and make you feel confident about your final decision.

This article is not legal advice. You should consult an attorney if you have legal questions that relate to your specific divorce.
