Applauding All Awesome Moms

The women I know and work with, especially those who are moms constantly amaze me. They juggle a million things at once and still keep it all together. Some have 1, 2, or 3 children, all under the age of 18, work part or full-time, volunteer at their children’s schools, are girl scout leaders, carpool champions rushing to hockey games at 6 a.m. in the middle of winter on weekends, and they’re really great (adult) women. It’s awesome and I have no idea how they do it! Some of these women have husbands, some don’t.

To all of the awesome moms I know, including my own, and all of the awesome moms out there I don’t, I applaud you! You are truly phenomenal. For those of you who don’t have children, next time you see a mom in the grocery store balancing a 2 year old on her hip with her left hand, holding a jug of milk in her right hand, and towing a 4 year on her leg, tell her awesome she is, even if you do it with a simple smile.

In case you’re wondering, I’m not a biological mom, just a 33% of the time stepmom.
