A Toast To A New Year, New Life, And New Love

After 17 years of marriage, and a divorce that never seemed to end, I swore I’d never fall in love again. Who knew my reality would turn out so differently?

In less than 6 months after my divorce, and in the blink of an eye, I met and fell in love with Fergus. It’s hard to say whether it was his big, soft eyes, the pure joy he radiated, or the way he danced playfully when he saw me. Whatever is was, it was undeniable. I immediately started imagining our long walks on the beach and cozy nights together. I knew we were perfect for each other. He was obviously interested in me and hung onto every word I said. When I moved, his eyes followed, and when I called, he came running. Yes, it was undeniable and true.

A year has passed since Fergus and I first met and I have never been so happy. He fills my life and heart with love. He has also made me realize that I will fall in love again, however, next time with a man instead of my dog. I think Fergus has a plan for me in the dating world too, but this I will share with you another day. Today, I am sending you very warm wishes for a happy New Year, and although you may not feel it or believe it right now, a future filled with beautiful new opportunities and much love.
